Rules
International Poster Competition
2017
Foreword
The International Poster Competition of Chaumont was
launched in 1990 in order to value graphic poster creation on an international
level. The posters entered by the designers through the competition are behind
this collection that now includes more than 45 000 posters conserved in
Chaumont.
The richness of the Chaumont collections of contemporary
posters together with the collection of illustrated posters of the 19th century
and the vitality of 26 editions of an annual festival have given rise to the
creation of a permanent venue in Chaumont entirely dedicated to graphic design:
le Signe, centre national du graphisme, which opened its doors in October
2016.
The international poster competition will take place in 2017 in the
context of the Biennial of graphic design organized by le Signe, centre national
du graphisme à Chaumont from 13 May to 24 September 2017.
